FAQs
Your questions, answered.
A few practical answers before we talk about your project.
What counts as custom development in Dynamics 365?
It can include Power Apps, workflows, CRM extensions, connectors, APIs, portals and Azure services. We first assess standard Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Copilot capabilities. Custom code is considered where the user experience, complexity, scale or integration need warrants it. Copilot Studio tools can retrieve information or carry out defined actions, with permissions and testing appropriate to the task.
When should we customize instead of using standard features?
When an important business requirement cannot be met well with existing capabilities. We compare the value with the development, security, maintenance and support responsibilities it adds. For AI-enabled processes, we also define trusted information, allowed actions, quality checks and where a person takes over.
Will custom development make Microsoft updates harder?
Custom work adds maintenance responsibility. We use supported approaches, source control, deployment packages and testing to help manage update risk. Future platform changes can still require testing and adjustments; ongoing review and support arrangements are agreed for your project.
Can Nemely improve customizations built by another partner?
Yes. With the necessary code, documentation and access, we can review how the customization works, its security, performance and dependencies. We then recommend what to keep, simplify, replace or retire.
Who owns the finished solution?
Ownership and access are agreed as part of the engagement. This includes source code, repositories, environments, documentation, deployment access and responsibility for maintenance and support.
What affects the cost and timing?
The size of the requirement, existing platform capabilities, integrations, security needs and testing all affect the work. We assess these with you before agreeing the scope and delivery plan.
