03 / Create the roadmap

Build a practical roadmap

Sequence improvements around their value, dependencies and your team's capacity for change.

  • Priorities for now, next and later
  • Responsibilities and decisions needed along the way
  • Success measures and review points

We agree the scope around the CRM decisions you need to make. This work sets the broader direction; a detailed assessment of a specific initiative or funding decision may need a separate pre-study and business case.

How we work

FAQs

Your questions, answered.

A few practical answers before we talk about your project.

When do we need a CRM strategy rather than a pre-study?

A strategy is useful before investing in, replacing, expanding or consolidating CRM, or when business priorities have changed. It sets the broader direction and order of work. A pre-study examines a defined initiative in more detail to support decisions about scope, funding and whether to proceed.

Is the strategy only about Dynamics 365?

No. We consider your customer processes, data and wider systems. Dynamics 365 and Power Platform are assessed where they fit your goals, including how they work with other applications.

Who needs to be involved, and what affects timing?

Usually a business sponsor, process owners, users and colleagues from IT, data, security and change management. The teams and systems involved, decisions needed, available information and participants' availability affect the work. We agree the people, scope and schedule before starting.

Does the roadmap include AI?

Yes, where AI could support a clear business need. We consider suitable uses for copilots and agents alongside the data, permissions, controls, evaluation and user adoption they would need. Their place in the roadmap depends on readiness and value.

Will the roadmap include costs and benefits?

It can include an initial view of investment needs, potential benefits and assumptions to check. These are planning inputs, not guaranteed returns. A detailed funding decision usually needs a focused business case using reliable starting figures and current costs.

What happens after the roadmap is agreed?

We agree owners, decision principles and review points so your team can update priorities as business needs, user feedback and platforms change. Nemely can support a pre-study, implementation, adoption, improvement or ongoing reviews within separately agreed scopes. The documented decisions and roadmap can also guide another delivery team.
