Configure CRM Alerts

Step-by-step information on how to go ahead with
the configuration of CRM Alerts and start using it.

1. Download from Microsoft AppSource

The managed solution for CRM Alerts for Dynamics 365 requires a component installed in your CRM system to send out the push notifications to your users whenever a predefined condition occurs in the system. This component can be downloaded from Microsoft AppSource.

2. Install the Solution

The solution downloaded above needs to be installed by a System Administrator. Once it has been installed, you are ready to use CRM Alerts with your own CRM data.

3. Download from iOS App Store

All the users who will be using the CRM Alerts can download CRM Alerts app on their iOS devices from App Store.

4. Request Activation Link

Add your work e-mail address which is registered in your Dynamics 365 CE organization. An activation link will be sent. Follow the instructions to start using CRM Alerts on your iOS devices.

5. Configure CRM Alerts

Once installed successfully, CRM Alerts will be available under ‘My Apps’ in your Dynamics 365 CE organization where you can find the Configuration page.

When you send first test alert, Organization ID will be generated.

Please contact [email protected] for licensing and to get the Account and API Key for your organization. Please mention your Dynamics 365 org URL, the newly generated Organization ID after your first test alert is sent in your email.

When you send first test alert, Organization ID will be generated.

You can then update Account and API Key in the configuration page of CRM Alerts.

If you want to send PDF reports as attachments to your alerts, enter credentials for a user account that should be used for report generation (probably the System Admin account).

Configuration is done!

You can now start generating up alerts as per your business requirements.
